Kathmandu, October 11
Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, has isolated himself after Nepal’s Civil Aviation Minister Yogesh Bhattarai tested positive for the coronavirus on Saturday.
Bhattarai and Kwatra had a face-to-face meeting on Friday. Both were seen unmasked during the meeting. Bhattarai announced on Saturday evening that he experienced fever on Friday evening and had gone for the test on Saturday morning.
A source in the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu says Kwatra is in self-isolation since the news of infection in Bhattarai came out on Saturday evening.
He will not meet anyone for the new two weeks, according to the source.
Kwatra, however, has not developed any symptom of the infection.
