Kathmandu, October 12
The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 111,802 as of Monday afternoon.
The ministry says 4,047 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 2,283 are from the Kathmandu valley.
In this period, 14,530 swab samples were tested. So far, 1 million and 191,514 people have been tested in the country.
As of today, 33,880 cases are active currently. Among them, 19,957 are in home isolation, and 13,923 are hospitalised.
Likewise, 279 are in intensive care units, and 67 on ventilators.
Of the total cases so far, 77,277 people have achieved recovery whereas 645 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 1,473 people have been discharged whereas nine deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 69.1 per cent.
The disease has spread across all 77 districts of the country. Of them, Morang, Sunsari, Makawanpur, Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Chitwan, Bhaktapur, Rupandehi, and Surkhet have more than 500 active cases each. Manang does not have any active cases.
Over 4,800 people are quarantined across the country.
