Kathmandu, June 17
Three foreigners–two Chinese and one Indian–have been found dead after being swept in a flood in Melamchi of the Sindhupalchok district on Wednesday and Friday.
Whereas two Chinese were found dead in Sindhupalchok on Wednesday, one Indian was found in the Sunkoshi river in Sindhuli today, informs Sindhupalchok’s Chief District Officer Arun Pokharel.
All of the victims used to work for the Melamchi Water Supply Project.
“Efforts are underway to send the bodies for postmortem.”
Meanwhile, other 19 people missing in the floods and are feared dead.
Nepal Police, Nepal Army, and Armed Police Force personnel are mobilised in the search.
