Daayitwa has opened its call for applications for the Daayitwa Nepal Public Administration Fellowship (DNPAF) 2021.
As part of the Civil Society: Mutual Accountability Project (supported by the United States Agency for International Development- USAID and implemented by FHI 360), DNPAF 2021 will competitively select and place 15 fellows in 11 selected municipalities across five provinces to support public officials and elected representatives of local municipal governments in researching, formulating, and implementing local policies and programmes, the organisation says in the statement.
The fellowship will run from August 1 to October 31, 2021.
In addressing the need for evidence-based policymaking and inclusive governance, the fellowship programme will provide the fellows with opportunities to work in sectors such as municipal leadership, civil society organisations (CSOs), media, and local youth in addition to leadership coaching, public administration training, social research training, applied policy experience, research mentorship, the organisation says.
The selected municipalities for this round are Tamakoshi (Dolakha, Bagmati), Changunarayan (Bhaktapur, Bagmati), Budhanilakantha (Kathmandu, Bagmati), Panauti (Kavre, Bagmati), Neelakantha (Dhading, Bagmati), Gorkha (Gorkha, Gandaki), Isma (Gulmi, Lumbini), Ghorahi (Dang, Lumbini), Bheriganga (Surkhet, Karnali), Amargadhi (Dadeldhura, Sudurpaschim), and Gauriganga (Kailali, Sudurpaschim).
