Surkhet, January 2
Police in the Jajarkot district of Karnali have arrested a ward chairman and acting chief administrative officer of the Bheri municipality there at a gambling den.
Bheri-6 chairman Sashi Budha and acting chief administrative officer Dal Bahadur Gharti among 13 were arrested at Gairikhali, Bheri-4 at around 3 am today, according to Madhav Shrestha, the Karnali Provincial Police Office.
Budha is also a senior leader of the Nepali Congress party in the municipality.
Meanwhile, police also confiscated Rs 252,00 in cash from them, according to SP Shrestha.
Further investigation is underway.
