Nawalpur, March 14
Police in the Nawalpur district of Gandaki have arrested a 65-year-old woman on the charge of murdering her husband with an axe over a domestic dispute.
Shyam Kumari Bhirkatta, a resident of Raikot, Bulingtar rural municipality-5 of the district, has been arrested on Sunday afternoon on the charge of murdering Chaman Singh Bhirkatta of the same age, according to police.
During the domestic dispute, Shyam Kumari attacked him with the axe, critically injuring him. Later, he died during treatment at the Madhyapur District Hospital in Danda of the district.
The Rudrapur Area Police Office in the district says further investigation is underway.
