Kathmandu, April 10
The increased public transport fares as decided by the Bagmati provincial government will come into effect in the province’s districts including the Kathmandu valley from Thursday, the New Year’s Day as per the Nepali calendar.
The provincial government has decided to increase the fares of the vehicles plying in the province as the federal government has recently increased the public bus fares by up to 14 per cent owing to a continuous increase in the fuel prices.
This also applies to the public buses in Kathmandu as the federal capital is also a part of the province.
Following the hike, the passengers will be required to pay the following in the case of the Kathmandu valley:

Meanwhile, the ministry also increased the taxi fares.
