Kathmandu, April 15
Different delegations of the Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led Communist Party of Nepal and CK Raut-led Janamat Party met Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand on Friday, demanding the government fulfil their demands ahead of the local elections.
As the elections are coming closer, both parties have expedited their lobbying to convince the government to get their demands addressed.
Both parties have similar demands including the release of its cadres arrested on various charges. They have been warning of foiling the local elections if the demands are not met.
Responding to them, the home minister said procedures had already begun to release the cadres as per the agreements signed with them.
