Kathmandu, May 5
The United States government has extended support of Rs 79.91 billion to Nepal as a grant to help it become a mid-income country.
An agreement has been signed between the two sides in this regard in Kathmandu on Thursday.
USAID Nepal Director Sepideh Keyvanshad and Nepal’s Finance Ministry‘s International Financial Aid Coordination Division Chief Ishwari Prasad Aryal signed the agreement.
The ministry says the money will be invested in education, health, sustainable energy and agriculture sectors in a transparent way.
