Butwal, February 26
A journalist died in a road accident in Butwal of the Rupandehi district in Lumbini on Saturday night.
Manoj Hitanga, riding on his motorbike (Lu 8 Pa 9068), was hit by a bus (Sudurpaschim Province 07-02-001 Kha 1226) at Milan Chok of the city at around 11:15 last night, according to police.
Seriously injured in the accident, he was taken to the Lumbini Provincial Hospital, where he died during treatment.
He was a reporter working for the Lumbini provincial office of NNTV.
A permanent resident in Tansen of the neighbouring Palpa district, Hitanga had been living at Buddhanagar of Butwal for the past 15 years.
