Janakpurdham, April 27
A man in the Mahottari district of Madhesh reportedly survived a murder attempt at his in-laws’ house.
Santosh Jha (28), a resident of Sonama rural municipality-4, was allegedly attacked by his father-in-law Hiran Thakur, mother-in-law Nagina, brother-in-law Dharmendra and a family relative Ghanashyam. They attacked Jha on his head with a hard object, according to the police.
The law enforcers came to know of the incident that took place around three weeks ago after locals of Sonama-1 telephoned the police.
The survivor’s sister Ruby says her brother was rescued in an unconscious state and rescued to the hospital.
Santosh Jha has now been discharged after staying for 15 days at Janakpur-based Provincial Hospital and Neuro Hospital. He, however, cannot move his hands and legs yet.
The parents-in-law have been arrested for further investigation whereas others are on the run. The Gaushala Area Police Office has launched a manhunt.
Further investigation is underway.
