Nawalpur, May 15
A husband and wife drowned in the Narayani river in Bardaghat in Nawalpur on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Som Bahadur Bote and his wife Bagari Bote from Madhyabindu municipality, informed DSP Santosh Pathak of Nepal Police.
They were swept away by the river while crossing it. They were crossing the river to go to the Chitwan National Park to pick fiddlehead.
The two had gone missing on Sunday afternoon and were found dead later in the night.
