Kathmandu, June 28
The House of Representatives on Wednesday endorsed the government’s annual budget plan for the next fiscal year 2023/24 by a majority vote.
Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat had presented the plan in a joint meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament on May 29. The National Assembly is yet to approve the budget.
Out of 255 lawmakers present in the house on Wednesday, 147 lawmakers voted in favour of the bill while 108 voted against it.
