Lalita Niwas Land case: Accused remanded in custody for 7 more days

Kathmandu, August 9

Kathmandu District Court has given the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) permission to remand the 20 people arrested in connection to the Lalita Niwas Land case to be remanded in custody for seven more days.

The CIB has filed a case of organised crime against the individuals after finding out these individuals forged government documents to transfer government land to individuals.

CIB has issued an arrest warrant against 406 people including four former secretaries and four former ministers in connection to the Lalita Niwas land case.

The door has also opened to investigate former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and Baburam Bhattarai.
