The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has scheduled a hearing for proposed Chief Justice Bishwombhar Prasad Shrestha on Monday.
A meeting of the Committee on Sunday decided that a hearing will be held to consider Shrestha’s recommendation for the appointment to the position of chief justice.
The Committee on August 9 had sought complaints, if any, against the proposed chief justice, and it has received three complaints.
On Monday, the Committee will hear from the complainants before starting a hearing over the recommendation.
In the meeting, the proposed chief justice will give his presentation focusing on his competency, experiences, action plans and concept.
Upon the completion of the hearing, the meeting will decide whether to endorse the recommendation or not.
