Kathmandu, January 22
Police have arrested doctor Shambuddha Bhattacharya on the charge of getting a government job based on a fake educational certificate.
On Monday, the spokesperson of Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, SP Ravindra Regmi, informed that Bhattacharya was arrested.
Bhattacharya was arrested from Dhaulagiri Himal Polyclinic, Basundhara. The identity card of the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital was also seized from him.
According to the police, he submitted a fake MBBS certificate from India and passed the Nepal Medical Council examination based on that.
