It has been confirmed that three members of the same family died in the plane crash that occurred after the aircraft took off for Pokhara on Wednesday. The deceased include Saurya Airlines technician Manuraj Sharma, his wife Prija Khatiwada, and their 4-year-old son Adhiraj Sharma.
Prija Khatiwada was an assistant computer operator at the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation. The plane, which was to use the hangar at Pokhara International Airport for engine testing, crashed within the airport premises shortly after takeoff.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, Navin Raj Singh confirmed that the flight, which had taken off for Pokhara, included Energy Ministry employee Khatiwada and her minor son.
Although Saurya Airlines listed Khatiwada and her son as company staff, it has been clarified that they were passengers. The Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed the death of Adhiraj Sharma (the child) in the crash.
