Nepal government recommends ambassadors for 18 countries (Full list)

Kathmandu, July 31

The government has recommended new ambassadors for 18 countries, including India, the United States, the United Kingdom, China, and Australia.

In a Cabinet meeting held on Monday, the following individuals were nominated for ambassadorships. These recommendations will undergo parliamentary hearings before the President officially appoints them, as per constitutional provisions.

Additionally, the Cabinet decided to recall the current ambassadors serving in China, Australia, Russia, South Africa, and Sri Lanka by August 31.

Here is the list of the recommended ambassadors and their respective countries:

  1. Dr Shankar Prasad Sharma – India
  2. Kanta Rijal – Australia
  3. Naresh Bikram Dhakal – Saudi Arabia
  4. Prof Dr Kapil Man Shrestha – South Africa
  5. Dhan Prasad Pandit – Israel
  6. Ram Krishna Bhattarai – Sri Lanka
  7. Sanil Nepal – Spain
  8. Dr Shail Rupakheti – Germany
  9. Lok Darshan Regmi – United States
  10. Chandra Kumar Ghimire – United Kingdom
  11. Dr Shivamaya Tumbahamphe – South Korea
  12. Jang Bahadur Chauhan – Russia
  13. Ramesh Chandra Poudel – Qatar
  14. Prof Dr Krishna Prasad Oli – China
  15. Sumnima Tuladhar – Denmark
  16. Netra Prasad Timilsina – Malaysia
  17. Prakash Mani Pokharel – Portugal
  18. Rita Dhital – Pakistan
