Kathmandu, March 14
Dr Saroja Karki Pande has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital Development Committee. The appointment was made by Minister of Health and Population, Pradeep Poudel, through a cabinet-level decision.
Dr Pande, a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, had previously served as a senior consultant at the hospital for 15 years. She holds an MD from the National Academy of Medical Sciences in Dhanusha. Dr Pande has also served as a registrar at Bharatpur Hospital.
She has been actively involved in policy-making related to obstetrics and gynecology, as well as taking on roles as a trainer in the field.
Following her appointment, Minister Poudel’s office expressed confidence that Dr Pandey leadership will contribute to the government’s plans to improve maternal and child health services.
