Biratnagar, July 26
Two karate coaches have been arrested on the charge of gang rape in Biratnagar, the Province 1 capital.
The suspects have been identified as Suraj Subedi aka Amar (50) of Biratnagar-4 and Binod Raut (50) of Biratnagar-3, informs DSP Deepak Shrestha, the Morang District Police Office spokesperson.
Both of the accused have been recognised as permanent karate coaches by the National Sports Council.
DSP Shrestha says the two have been accused of taking a teenage girl to a hotel for the crime recently.
After the teenage girl stopped going to college, her family investigated it to find out about the gang rape incident, according to police.
Following that, the family filed a complaint with the law enforcers.
