Butwal, October 12
Authorities have barred the Butwal-Palpa section of Siddhartha Highway in western Nepal for three hours every morning for the next four days.
The road from Chidiyakhola, Butwal, to Burtung, Palpa, will be blocked from 6 am to 9 am every morning until Thursday, informs the Division Road Office in Palpa.
Madan Giri, Palpa District Police Office Information Officer says, workers will remove landslide debris collected in the monsoon as various points of the road to ensure smooth movement by blocking the road for four days.
Over 30 landslides of different sizes were reported along the section in the past three months.
