Pokhara, March 29
Police in Pokhara have found the body of a child, who appears to be two-three years old. Local people had informed police after they saw a dog dragging the body below the waist, lying on the road at Buddha Chowk on Tuesday.
Acting on information, police visited the site for evidence collection. Police said they will conduct a DNA test in a bid to ascertain the child’s gender and identity.
Police have launched an investigation to trace the child’s parents and the reason it was found on the road in such a situation. Locals suspect that someone may have murdered the child and disposed of the body. They have urged police to find the guilty and take appropriate action.
