Design
Crossfire RM 250 Race Edition is one of the leanest dirt bikes in the market. It has a familiar dirt bike build. At the front, it gets an aggressive styling than any of its siblings available in the market. The bike also has the R-tech Italian headlight installed on the front. This headlight provides required visibility during foggy weather conditions and night rides.
The bike has an exterior plastic build while the frame and subframe are aluminium built. The bike gets premium and sportier graphics that look a lot better than the previous versions of the bike and is sure to grab the attention of people.
Crossfire RM 250 Race Edition also gets an LED tail lamp and LED indicators instead of halogen lights. This bike gets an anti-glare digital instrumental cluster that displays the time, kilometres covered and speed of the bike. Under the extended back of the bike, which also works as a mudguard, resides a twin exhaust. The twin exhaust on the bike looks pretty fancy and the loud noise it produces is sure to get attention. This bike’s presence will be felt immediately.
Crossfire RM 250 Race Edition measures 2160mm in length, 850mm in width and 1,320mm in height. The seat height of the bike measures 910mm in dirt and 880mm in the motard versions. The bike is light and weighs 112 kg, which is really impressive and allows more comfort to the riders in difficult conditions.
The bike has an impressive ground clearance of 330mm, which is probably the highest in the market. This will allow the riders to explore even the harshest condition of the roads without worrying about the engine getting hit. Furthermore, the bike comes with an all-new engine crash guard to protect the bike from disturbances on the road.
Performance
Crossfire RM 250 Race Edition is powered by a 249.6 cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, four-valve carburettor engine with a water-cooling system. The bike can be started with both electric and kick starts. This is a power-performing bike that delivers a maximum power of 25.83PS @9000rpm and can attain a peak torque of 22.5Nm @8500rpm.
The bike also features CNC foldable clutch lever with OTOM adjusters. It ensures the smooth functioning of the clutch and is reliable as well. The clutch levers are guaranteed to not break in any kind of accident.
The radiators also get a boost on this powerful bike. The radiators are not only bigger but are also equipped with high power fans. This will maintain the cooling state of the engine during power performing rides.
Furthermore, Crossfire RM 250 Race Edition is mated with a six-speed gearbox and is assisted by 520 series O-ring DID chains. These chains are said to have superior strength and a long chain life compared to others. The bike has a 6.5L fuel tank capacity, one of the many reasons for the lightweight body of the bike.
Brakes, suspension and other features
Crossfire RM 250 Race Edition offers a single 290mm disc brake at the front and a single 240mm disc brake at the rear end. The bike gets telescopic cartridge forks at the front and CNC linkage suspension (adjustable) at the rear. The suspension on the bike allows the rider to get more flexibility during off-road rides.
Since the bike is available in two variants, the tyre size differs accordingly. The dirt version of the bike has a tyre size of 3.00-21 at the front and 5.10-18 at the rear. The motard variant gets 110/70-17 tyre size at the front and 140/60-17 at the rear.
