Kathmandu, January 5
The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport claims people passing driving licence tests will get their licences on the day of the tests itself within two months.
In a recent meeting of the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives, Transport Secretary Rabindra Man Shrestha said the hassle involved in obtaining the licence even after passing the test will be over in the next two months.
He informed the Departmend of Transport Management has been printing as many as around 8,000 licences a day these days to end the backlog.
Earlier, the Department of Transport Management had said those waiting for their pending driving licences will also get them in the next one and a half months.
