Kathmandu, May 2
The government announced a public holiday across the country on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr on Tuesday.
A cabinet meeting made the decision, informs the Ministry of Home Affairs in a notice on Monday.
This is one of the greatest festivals for Muslims across the world.
Of late, the government has been providing public holidays on the festivals of various religions and ethnic groups based on ad-hoc decisions.
