Kathmandu, April 10
The government announced a public holiday across the country on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr (Eid), on Thursday.
The Ministry of Home Affairs announced the notice on Wednesday. This is one of the greatest festivals for Muslims across the world.
It is celebrated at the end of Ramadan when fasting and praying for a whole month is ended. Eid al-Fitr also means the festival of ending the fast.
