Kathmandu, December 22
Police in Kathmandu have arrested five leaders associated with the Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led Maoist party for their alleged involvement in an explosion at the private residence of Rohan Gurung, a foreign employment recruitment agent.
The government has banned the party’s activities citing its involvement in violence.
Police claim the arrestees are the central leaders of the party. The special bureau of Nepal Police arrested them from different locations of the city.
The arrestees have been identified as Sanjeev Lama, Tilak Bahadur Gurung, Wakil Gharti Magar, Trilochan BK and Durkha Bahadur Tamang.
