Kathmandu, February 26
Former Finance Minister and Maoist leader Barsaman Pun (Ananta) will be flown to Bangkok later in the day for his treatment, family sources tell Onlinekhabr.
Pun, who is also the husband of Speaker Onsari Gharti, is receiving treatment for a liver ailment at Kathmandu’s Grande Hospital. He is to be discharged from Grande and flown to Samitivej Hospital in Bangkok, a source said.
“He has had high fever ever since he returned from Rolpa. Although the fever has subsided, he still needs treatment,” a family source told Onlinekhabar.
Pun was flown to the Thai capital last year also, where he spent a month recuperating.
He was taken ill recently after returning from Rolpa, where he took part in a party programme.
