Kathmandu, September 13
The third general convention of Nepali Congress-aligned Nepal Women’s Association began in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba inaugurated the convention that’s taking place at Bhrikuti Mandap in the presence of top leaders and party workers.
The convention with the slogan ‘Equal Participation, Peace, Prosperity and Constitutional Development for Women’s Empowerment’ will continue till September 15.
The convention will elect new leadership of the Congress-aligned association.
Around 2,200 representatives are taking part in the convention.
