Kathmandu, February 27
Parts of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley and the vicinity, experienced two jolts, the aftershocks of the April 25 Gorkha quake, on Monday morning. Both the jolts were epicentred in Ramechhap.
According to National Seismological Centre, the first jolt (4.6 magnitude) occurred at 9.22 am while the second one (4.7 magnitude) shook the country 45 minutes later.
Lok Bijaya Adhikari, chief of the centre, said the two are aftershocks of the Gorkha quake. After the Gorkha quake, 478 aftershocks have occurred, according to Adhikari.
