Dhangadhi, April 10
One teenager died and three others sustained injuries in a road accident in Phaltude, Chure rural municipality of the Kailali district of Sudurpaschim on Sunday.
The victim has been identified as Bhanu Thakunna (18), a resident of Chure-6. He was returning home after taking an examination under the ongoing Secondary Education Examinations (SEE).
Seriously injured in the accident, he died while being taken to Dhangadhi for treatment, informs DSP Kuldeep Chand, the Kailali District Police Office spokesperson.
Meanwhile, three other people sustained injuries in the accident. They are SEE candidates Prakash Dhami (16), Harish Dhami (17) and Saraswati Dhami (18). They are undergoing treatment at Padma Hospital in Attariya.
The police have arrested Narasingh Dhami (19), a resident of Chure rural municipality, who was behind the wheel of the SUV (Sudurpaschim Province-01-001 Ja 1423).
