Kathmandu, August 21
A CIAA team arrested Dinesh Shrestha, sub engineer at the office of Kathmandu Metropolis ward number 3, from a restaurant in Kathmandu on Sunday while he was accepting bribe from a service-seeker by promising to issue a certificate certifying the construction of a house as per the construction plan.
The team from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority caught hold of Shrestha while he was taking three lakh rupees from a service-seeker.
Responding to a complaint, the CIAA team had arrived at Niyalo Restaurant in Maharajgunj and arrested Shrestha. A further investigation is underway.
