UCPN-Maoist standing committee member Gopal Kiranti has accused the party leadership of turning the party into a sister organisation of the CPN-UML.
The UCPN-Maoist leadership surrendered before the conspiracy to turn the party into a sister organisation of the CPN-UML, Kiranti told Onlinekhabar.
Kiranti was in favour of toppling the KP Oli government and making Prachanda the prime minister. Apparently, Prachanda, who earlier sought to topple the Oli government with help from the main opposition Nepali Congress, had a change of heart. And this got Kiranti riled.
After the talks between the UCPN-Maoist and the NC failed, Kiranti phoned Prachanda and said he will express his dissent against all this in the party. I will register a note of dissent, he said.
Kiranti reportedly told Prachanda over the phone that he felt like he was dead.
In reply, Prachanda said: We should not die, comrade. And there’s no reason to do so.
