Kathmandu, March 18
The district court has permitted the Vice-chairperson of the CPN Maoist Center, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, who was arrested in the gold smuggling case, to be detained for four days.
A police source told Online Khabar that the court allowed him to be detained for four days for investigation in the gold smuggling case. Mahara was arrested from Kapilvastu after the gold committee headed by former judge Dilliraj Acharya recommended the case. Soon after, he was brought to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB).
