Kathmandu, May 31
Ruling Nepal Communist Party lawmaker Lalbabu Pandit has commented that the number of people committing suicide is higher than the number of people dying of Covid-19.
Speaking in the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday, the former minister urged the government to pay attention to the increasing suicide rate in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis.
In another context, Pandit said the status of quarantine camps set up to control the coronavirus outbreak was miserable in various places, demanding the federal government provide additional aid to the local units to better their management.
