Kathmandu, May 17
Police arrested a person with leopard hide from Kathmandu on Tuesday.
They made the arrest from Uttam Lamjung Guesthouse in Mitranagar, Gongabu, and identified the arrestee as 48-year-old Bhakta Bahadur Gharti Magar ‘Bharat’, who hails from Nayagaun VDC-1, Pyuthan district.
Acting on information that a group was waiting for customers to sell leopard hide, a team from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division raided the guesthouse and arrested Gharti Magar with leopard hide.
Police have sent Gharti Magar to Hattisar-based Kathmandu district forest office for further action.
