Controversial construction entrepreneur Manoj Bhetwal has been arrested on a banking offence charge.
SP Sita Ram Rijal, the spokesperson of the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range, says Bhetwal was arrested at his house after the police received a complaint against him in relation to a bounced cheque.
This is not the first time that the notorious contractor, known for reported fraud in the proposed construction of Kathmandu View Tower in central Kathmandu, was arrested on a banking offence charge.
Bhetwal is the owner of the Jaleshwor Swachchhanda Bkoi Builders Pvt Ltd, which won a contract to construct the Kathmandu View Tower, which is currently in limbo.
