Kathmandu, March 31
Minister for Education Girirajmani Pokharel said on Thursday SLC examinations are a matter of the nation’s prestige as well as future.
Minister Pokharel said this while inspecting SLC examination centres on the first day of the exams. He conveyed his best wishes to students.
We have managed to conduct SLC examinations despite the mega quakes and a complex situation in the Tarai-Madhesh,” he said after inspecting a examination centre in Lainchaur. “SLC exam is not only a matter of concern for students, but for all of us.”
In adverse circumstances, the state taught SLC students through radio, television and other channels, Pokharel said, expecting good results.
Nepalis tend to work very hard in adverse circumstances, he said, adding that students have worked hard indeed.
Due to earthquakes, many students became homeless. Living in tents, students, guardians and teachers worked hard, he said, expecting hope that the letter-grading system introduced this year will be good for students.
