Kathmandu, September 12
The wide-body A-330 aircraft of Nepal Airlines has arrived in Kathmandu today after a C-check in Italy. The plane with the call sign ‘N ALY’ was taken to Italy on June 22 for a C-check and it landed at Tribhuvan International Airport this morning after about two and half months.
Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) spokesperson Ramesh Paudel said the A-330 (Annapurna) aircraft landed in Kathmandu at 8.36 am today.
With this, the national flag carrier is believed to provide additional services to passengers operating flights by three planes, including this one, to various long-distance international destinations, besides Japan. NAC’s other wide-body aircraft has also been taken to Italy for a C-check.
Out of the four Airbus aircraft with the national flag carrier, only two narrow-body planes were in operation. NAC stated that international flights would be operated with three planes now, including the wide-body aircraft that landed today.
