Bhairahawa, March 22
Prime Minister and one of the two chairpersons of ruling Nepal Communist Party, KP Sharma Oli, says contested issues about the merger of then CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Centre into the NCP will get settled soon ‘unexpectedly.
It has already been nearly one year since the two parties merged into one, their sister organisations, but lower level committees are yet to unify.
Oli, however, believes that it will conclude suddenly as some milestones of the unification process in the past were also not expected by anyone.
“The announcement of the election alliance and that of the unification were unexpected,” Oli told journalists at Bhairahawa Airport of Rupandehi district this morning, “The unification at the local level will also end unexpectedly.”
Meanwhile, Oli called on the Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led Maoist party to join the peaceful mainstream politics.
In another context, Oli instructed officials of the Gautam Buddha International Airport officials to complete the construction works at the earliest.
