Nepal: New NSU President vows to move NC student wing ahead through cooperation, coordination

After winning election for NSU presidency during the 11th NSU general convention, Nain Singh Mahar said he will take the union ahead by holding consultants with fellow contestants and building coordination with them.

Mahar, talking to the media at the Nepali Congress party office in Sanepa on Thursday, said he will move ahead in the spirit of cooperation by holding consultations with all concerned.

He said: Manoj Mani (Acharya) — another contestant for NSU presidency — is my friend. Student politics will move ahead on the basis of cooperation.

Meanwhile, Manoj Mani Acharya, from the Ram Chandra Poudel camp, wished Mahar a successful tenure. Acharya said he will provide full support to Mahar.

Kundan Kafle and Saroj Thapa from the Mahar panel have become NSU general secretaries.
