Kathmandu, April 8
The government of Nepal on Thursday nominated 20 new ambassadors to various countries including China and Russia.
All the positions were vacant as the government has recalled the ambassadors appointed by the previous KP Sharma Oli-led government.
Whereas the new Sher Bahadur Deuba government has already appointed ambassadors to India, the United Kingdom and the United States, other missions were left vacant.
But, the government nominated 20 people to be appointed as ambassadors. The nominees include 12 people selected on the basis of their political affiliations with the ruling parties and eight career diplomats at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The president will appoint them after the nominees will go through a parliamentary hearing.
