Nepal’s acting ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ananda Prasad Sharma has been stabbed in his own office inside the embassy.
Sharma, who is now receiving treatment at a local hospital, was reportedly assaulted by a Nepali man taking shelter at the embassy.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the assailant entered Sharma’s office, locked it from the inside and stabbed the ambassador. The Ministry says Sharma is out of danger, and the attacker has been arrested by local police.
