Fairfiled by Marriott Kathmandu is organising Newari Bhoj, a traditional Newari food festival, from August 18 to 27 at its own premises in Thamel of the capital.
“As Fairfield by Marriott Kathmandu believes in promoting and supporting local tradition, this food festival will provide a platform for Newari artisan home cooks to make sure we capture the truly authentic flavours,unique to Newari cuisine,” the organiser says.
Executive head chef of the hote, Pranjal Gogoi, and traditional Newari home cooks—Bima Shrestha, Sharmila Rajbhandari, Samjhana Shrestha and Rohini Tuladhara—have been making the dishes.
One has to pay Rs 1,750 per person to taste different flavours of foods and drinks at the event that begins at 7 pm every day.
