The price of petrol and diesel has increased in Nepal as per the automatic price system.
Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the price of petrol by Rs 9 per litre and the price of kerosene and diesel by Rs 7 per litre.
NOC said that the price hike decision was made after India increased the price of petroleum products.
With this, a litre of petrol will cost Rs 170 in Group A, Rs 172 in Group B and Rs 173 in Group C.
Likewise, diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 150 per litre in Group A, Rs 152 in Group B and Rs 153 in Group C.
However, the price of the cooking gas cylinder has been lowered to Rs 1,660, reflecting a reduction of Rs 130 per cylinder.
There were rumours on Tuesday that the price of petroleum products would increase by Rs 10.
