Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party has protested against the Constitution Amendment Bill that the Prachanda government has tabled in the Parliament.

Wednesday’s meeting of the party claimed that the government filed the proposal as per the directive of India’s ruling class.

This is a conspiracy to prevent local, provincial and federal elections, the party stated, reiterating that the government had registered the Bill as per the directive of the Indian ruling class.

The party has appealed all parties to stand against the amendment proposal.
