Nawalparasi, April 19
Police have arrested all three people involved in the rape of a 13-year-old girl in Kawasoti, Nawalparasi district.
The three — Krishna Mahato, the mastermind, and his accomplices Binod Gurung and Keshav Thapa — had raped the girl March 31.
On Tuesday, police arrested Keshav Thapa from Kalanki, Kathmandu, Parshuram Tiwari, DSP at Nawalpur APO, informed. A team from the Nawalparasi area police office had arrested Mahato of Laukhani, Kawasoti-13, from Biratnagar on Friday. Police have already arrested Binod Gurung (27). The victim’s relatives, women’s rights activists, child rights activists and others had been staging a protest against the police’s failure to nab the culprits.
