Kathmandu, April 18
Police in Kailali district arrested a former Maoist people’s liberation army fighter with stuffs used in making firearms as well as firearms, including a countrymade pistol, five shotgun cartridges, one shotgun, one magazine of 303 rifle, five live bullets of 303 rifle, among others.
They identified the arrestee as Baburam BK (39) of Indrapur, Masuria-2. Kailali district police chief, SP Rajendra Bista, said: Based on a special tip-off, police arrested BK with weapons and stuffs used in their production from his home on Sunday afternoon.
Police made BK public at a press conference in Kailali district police office on Monday. Bista informed BK had started making firearms during the Maoist insurgency.
