Kathmandu, March 8
Nepali Congress leader has congratulated Sher Bahadur Deuba on his election as party President. A fellow contestant for party presidency, Poudel also thanked representatives of the NC’s 13th general convention, who voted for him.
In a press release on Tuesday, Poudel said the NC’s general convention has added a new dimension to development of democracy in Nepal. “My hearty congratulations to my friend Sher Bahaur Deuba on his election as party President,” Poudel said in his congratulatory message.
Poudel took the occasion to suggest Deuba to stick to the party’s ideals, guiding principles and principled politics, asking him to work for the party, the country and the people.
Thanking his voters, Poudel appealed the Congress rank and file to move ahead by showing unwavering commitment to principled politics, pledging to remain with them forever.
