
Kathmandu, March 13
Newly elected President Ram Chandra Paudel took the oath of office and secrecy and assumed his office on Monday afternoon.
This happens one day after incumbent Bidya Devi Bhandari completed her second term. President Bhandari was given an official farewell from the office today, following the oath ceremony of her successor.

Amid a special function organised at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas, Acting Chief Justice Hari Krishna Karki administered the oath of oath to Paudel as per the constitution.
Top state officials, bureaucrats and security officials and foreign diplomats among others were present on the occasion.
